Sad News :(

We received this email today...

Dear Families,

Many of you have inquired about the referral process and current wait time. Unfortunately, it appears that the wait time has increased to 11-12 months from the time a Dossier is logged into the CCAA (China Center of Adoption Affairs) until a referral. This information is based upon the CCAA's recent posting on their website (http://www.china-ccaa.org/frames/index_unlogin_en.jsp)

We know that God knows who our child is and that the perfect placement will occur, but I would be outright lying to say that this is not disheartening. Please pray for us. When we began this process the wait time was 6-7 months.

Log in Date - March 13, 2006

Here is the email we received today from America World:

Congratulations again!

We have received confirmation that your dossier was logged into the CCAA on March 13, 2006. Right now the wait time between your log in date and referral is approximately 8-10 months. If you have any questions or need anything during the wait time, please feel free to contact your Family Coordinator.

Ok - so the timeline is approximately 8-10 MORE months to referral (match) and then another 6-8 weeks until travel! AAGH! Please pray with us for patience and for Olivia's health and safety.

The Bi-Monthly AWAA Get-Together!

Here is Amy Oberloh with her daughter Taya and I am holding Kiana Doose. We met them at the last AWAA get-together on Saturday the 25th. Amazingly, these little girls were in the same foster home in China and when they saw each other at the meeting they studied each other and really seemed to recognize each other. They came home last Halloween and are both so sweet! Everytime I asked Kiana a question, she would nod her head and study my face. My mother-in-law Marsha and three of my sister Jill's five boys came with me to the meeting. It was really fun!
