This is such a painful delivery!!! What in the world? Today marks the 38th month since we were logged in to China's system. We REALLY thought we were going to get Olivia's referral last week. Not even thinking we were being unrealistic this time. April referrals came out on the 3rd, so logic would say that the first week of May would bring the next batch. What fools we are to have had faith in China and to even USE logic. What fools. So we have said, "some time in the next year" in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and now in 2009, and then we have said, "some time in the next month", and "hopefully some time in the next week" and now we find ourselves repeating that. What fools! Once again, we are wrong and once again I ask myself why I am surprised. I am mad at myself for even getting a little excited. The rumors are that the delay is due to the swine flu, even though that makes NO sense. But remember, there is no room for logic or common sense in international adoption. Please pray for us. We. Are. Fried.

We are praying for strength for you both! I thought last week would be it too! So much for my predicting powers!
We are all waiting with you. And we all really do understand. When I started with Haiti the twins were 20 mo old. I thought, hopefully by their 3rd birthday but if not, certainly they will be home long before their fourth bd. That is Friday. We are still in second legal.
Hopefully this will be the week for you. It's hard to keep getting your hopes up and then nothing. Praying you will have a perfect little daughter by the end of the month.
Grrr
OUCH! Gimme one too!
Wish you weren't having to go through this agony. Thinking of you and sending positive vibes to China so that they will get moving on sending out your referral and SOON!!
You are so not fools, and NOBODY thinks that! We all are just feeling your pain right along with you. Remember - we are all super excited to see your sweet girl's face and watch you breathe that sigh of relief! We will all stand by you through all of this.
Your post hits home for me. We have said the same things over the years during this wait. Hang in there!! They will come.
Praying and more praying for you two and your family spread out all over the world.

I've been wondering all week... so, I thought, I better go check facebook and see if I missed it!!!! :) So, so sorry to hear you are still waiting! Praying you will get good news soon!!! Love ya! Tana
You are so not a fool- if you're a fool so am I (well I am but that's another story). I can't even count how many times I was sure your referral would arrived by now. Hope I'm still not a fool at the end of next week!
Big hug and we're all pulling for you guys!
Michelle
My arms and my heart are wrapped around you!! Lovein you
Oh Honey, my heart truly goes out to you. You are not a fool at all! You have faith in a Big God, but sometimes he has to work with silly rules, country regulations & us flaw filled humans.
I can't tell you how many times I've checked my e-mail over the past 2 weeks hoping to see your big announcement only to be disappointed myself that you have had to wait so long. I am really praying for you & Lee and waiting right along with you guys (call me a fool too I guess :)
Keep your chin up and know that all things work together for good for those who love God & are called according to His purpose.
Sigh....right now I can't imagine anything harder than waiting for our babies....PRAYING your little one comes VERY soon....HUGS!
Oh, wow. I can't say that I understand. But wow. At least a birthing mama has less than a year at most to wait, and only several days at the longest to deliver. Five years?! Ouch. :(
Praying for you all!
sorry :(.......................
LOVE your epidural analogy. Brings a smile to my face during this difficult, awful, stupid time.
Love you to pieces.
The waiting is hard, but God is so good...keep your chin up :)
