After a lot of work and too many months (we had some distractions...
I am trying to make myself feel better...it's not working...) our dossier is off to our agency!! After review, it will be off to HAITI!! Then guess what? We WAITI. Getting pretty good at that game! Each one of those papers has a stack of other papers underneath them! Here is a partial list of what was required: homestudy; an evaluation done by a licensed psychologist; letters from our doctor; reference letters; original birth and marriage certificates; bank letter; employment verifications; local police clearance letters; passport pictures of each parent; income tax returns and W-2 forms for the last 3 years; a single copy of three different forms of photo ID, etc., etc., etc. All documents needed state certification, some needed notarization, some needed to get a seal from the Haitian Consulate. And all were translated into French Creole. WHEW!! I was so excited to be sending this off, I called our agency program director on the way home. I thought I would leave a message since I was calling after hours and she is on the east coast. She answered! She asked how much it weighed and I told her - she said I gave birth to a 6 lb, 5 oz dossier! Then she said, "pretty light for twins!" Haha!
We were able to send this off with an item missing...the one I mentioned before. We still do not have a resolution on this, and it has to do with our government, so can you please pray that this will get cleared up? THANKS!

YAY. YAY.
It's a step! In the raht direction.
Love you.
In the way of encouragement, dispense is no longer being required. One dossier just make it through in six weeks but three months is more likely. Still, better than the 9-13 mo we all waited just for that one step.
P.S. I was referring to ibesr but forgot to say that.
Oh congratulations!! I know how you feel and I'm happy to see the FedEx box - woohoo!
YAY!!!!!!! I didn't realize you could be matched BEFORE you sent off your dossier! I don't think it works like that w/ Ethiopia....does it w/ China??
CONGRATS. Finally. And I love the Fed Ex Photo. I love that we took one when our dossier went to China, too.
Praying your paperwork arrives safely and that your problem is all cleared up.
Congratulations!
So much for saving trees, huh? Too bad the Governments (US and Haiti and China) won't just take our word for it that we'll be good mommies and daddies! Congrats on getting your Dossier off, that has got to be an AWESOME feeling!
Yay! So great to get rid of that consuming beast! Praying for a resolution to your problem. We had some pretty weird troubles with ours. Let me know if I can help in any way. gregswifeatgmaildotcom
